Christmas is fast approaching and we can already feel the spirit of Christmas around us. During this holiday seasons, it is a part of us to prepare for it. Just like us, we have to prepare for our Christmas decorations in our house such as buying a Christmas tree, wall decorations, gifts, and foods. Is it in related that we will be spending for everybody’s happiness and enjoyment during the Christmas.

Unfortunately, in my case, I have to seek for additional income for us to have a merrier Christmas. The best thing I know to solve this is to apply for Loans to some trusted and reputable financial institutions. It would be a great help for me and to my family if I would be given the chance to have my applications approved. I will be able to give what my children to have this coming Christmas.

I know that applying for another loan will make my financial status be in a burden but I have to admit that I really have to rely on them right now. I am little worried about the Mortgages that the lender will impose upon my application. Well, it is just a normal processing procedure to have that in their policy.

I went to browse the internet and started looking for agencies which offers the best services in term of loans, mortgages, and others a like. Then I happen to get across with a website that I believe offers a great deal. This is about The Help Group of UK which I have learned that they are one of United Kingdom’s premiere financial institutions. The company has a lot of special promo to offer you in terms of loan application. You can immediately find your quote in a just a few minutes time. Try it for yourself and learn about their services.

Beware the Hidden Fees
Posted by admin in Credits on 11 23rd, 2007| icon3No Comments »

Recently, the internet has seen a huge influx in the amount of sites offering various methods to compare credit cards, and some even going as far as to offer interest free credit cards. Credit cards are such a lucrative business not because they simply lend money, but rather because they charge interest, and in the case of interest free credit cards, they will often come with enormous “fees” attached to the card. Such fees include late fees, over limit fees (when the amount allotted to your card is exceeded), payment processing fees, membership fees, and various fees dealing with currency transaction. Because of these fees, it is important to realize that an interest free credit card may not be the cheapest credit card for you and a bit of research is required to find the right match.

The site www.cardguide.co.uk/ offers many comparisons between different credit cards available in the United Kingdom, and highlights some of the important features of each card. Be sure to research a bit deeper though, as there is little information about the various fees associated with each card.

Looking for Sales Motivation?
Posted by admin in Sales on 11 21st, 2007| icon3No Comments »

Have you ever noticed when it comes to daytimers or pocket organizers, there are three kinds of people? One kind buys the next year’s daytimer in September so they can hardly skip a beat moving from one year to the next. Yet another group of people pony up to the sales register with organizational tools in hand. They aspire to be organized, yet never seem to get the shrink wrap off. And, finally, there are those who have just accepted they will never be organized and they will have to come to terms with their constant state of disorganization.

And what does this have to do with sales? Simply, put, it’s the same way with sales. Are you the type of person who absolutely hates sales and believes you can’t sell? Or the type who buys all the latest sales books yet hardly cracks the spine? Or do you take sales on with the vigor of an Olympic athlete?

Let me just say, as a member of the 1% club (the top 1 percent of sales professionals), there was a point where I HATED sales (and selling). The last thing I wanted to do is sell. We all move through phases of sales power. Some days it seems like we could sell ice to eskimos. Other days, it takes all we can to summon the courage to pick up the phone to make the calls we know will result in the filled pipeline that we need to continue to be successful. And, then, there are days when we just want to throw in the towel.

And that’s okay. If there’s anything I would like for you to know today it is the idea that you CAN sell and, if you don’t give up, you WILL accomplish your sales goals. I think Woody Allen said it best. Eighty percent of success is just showing up. Be honest with yourself, do your best and it will come. Accept that there will be ups and downs on the way to the finish line.

I wish there was some super magic bullet I could give you that would be the panacea for all of your sales ills. But there’s not. And, truthfully, anyone who says there is may be thinking they have some oceanfront property in Arizona they may like to sell you. The reality is that sales are not a ‘one point’ process where things happen from doing ‘one thing.’ It takes consistent, forward motion to excel in sales.

The best advice I have for you from the field is for you to stay in motion with intention and focus. Do one thing each and every day that adds to your company’s (and your) bottom line. If you stay focused today, tomorrow’s results will take care of themselves!

Recipe for Business Success
Posted by admin in Marketing on 11 13th, 2007| icon3No Comments »

Recently, I was asked to participate in a recipe exchange program. Now, this is a laugh, as I pretty much only cook what comes in a box or bag – but it got me thinking about other types of recipes. Specifically, developing the right “mix” of ingredients to successfully promote your business in an integrated marketing campaign.

Basically, there are three primary “food” groups to promote your business: advertising, marketing and public relations. Of course, there are many subgroups within each of these groups, including direct mail, radio advertising, community relations, Web sites, marketing brochures, press releases and so on, but you get the idea.

As with any good recipe, it’s critical to have the right ingredients, in the correct quantities. A cake recipe asks for salt, but if you use a cup instead of a dash, the results are completely different. The same goes for promoting your business. If you focus too much of your efforts on television advertising, you may be totally missing out on people who might read about your company in their local newspaper. Likewise, if you believe that just having a Web site – no matter how good it is – is enough, you are missing out on many other opportunities to get your product or services in front of potential customers. Don’t be afraid to experiment. All good chefs do and masterpieces are created.

It can be difficult to determine what ingredients, and what quantities, you need. Carefully analyze each opportunity, making sure that it’s a good fit for your target audience – and of course, your budget. For example, don’t spend a small fortune advertising on a radio station that targets listeners who are 25-35 years of age if your product appeals to a more mature audience. We worked with a client once who wanted to advertise on Paul Harvey’s radio show. He thought it would give his company instant credibility, and it was what he listened to. Trouble is, his potential customers were more into Howard Stern! Radio, television, newspapers and magazines are happy to provide you with their demographics – that is, detailed information on exactly who their target audience is. After all, they want you to repeat your business with them, so they want you to be satisfied with the results.

In some instances, your product or service appeals to a very small audience. In that case, a good choice might be to advertise and provide potential articles in trade newspapers that are specific to the industry that buys your product. Attending trade shows specifically for this industry is also a good suggestion.

The “quality” of your ingredients is as important as it is in a food recipe. You may be tempted to go with the cheapest methods, but in the long run, you’ll get what you paid for. The old adage “if it seems too good to be true, it probably is” definitely applies. You may think that you’re saving money by printing your postcards on less expensive paper, but if it doesn’t hold up in the mailing process, then what good is it? A note though: cheap does not equal inexpensive. There are frequently ways to do something in ways to save money without jeopardizing the quality. It just takes research.

As with any good recipe, success doesn’t often come with the first effort. Rather, it’s a trial and error process, trying different ingredients, in different quantities. The key is to keep at it and don’t give up if your efforts aren’t immediately successful. One direct mail postcard is usually a waste of time, while six to eight may lead to good results. You may send out 10 press releases and the 11th one actually gets reprinted in the newspaper. The first 10 weren’t a waste of time; they helped build credibility with the media.

A great example of a very successful promotional campaign that utilized may different ingredients was the campaign by Frontier Airlines to send “Flip” to Mexico. Of course, not many businesses have the budget that Frontier does, but you get the idea about how you can utilize different methodologies to successfully promote your business. It will take practice – and you’ll have some failures – but if you keep at it, you will be successful.

One final note: as with any good recipe, you should periodically review your efforts to make sure that the methods you are using are still current and producing the results you desire. Don’t be afraid to update and change the mix of your ingredients. After all, yesterday’s television is today’s You Tube!

Data Warehousing with Six Sigma
Posted by admin in Management on 11 13th, 2007| icon3No Comments »

Six Sigma was originally developed as a method for reducing defects and improving quality of business processes in the manufacturing industry. However, with the development of new concepts and methodologies, Six Sigma is being increasingly employed in the services industry as well including the information technology (IT) industry.

Data warehousing costs often run into millions of dollars, making it very difficult for organizations to offer cost-effective DW related services to their customers. By implementing Six Sigma concepts and methodologies, IT companies have been able to reduce DW costs and even improve the level of services offered by their clients.

The basics of data warehousing

DW systems and methodologies are quite complex in nature and are designed to provide different types of services to customers. The various components of DW can be designed and developed by a company in house or by a third party (IT company) having the requisite experience in DW.

Most companies prefer joint development of DW components in consultations with the third party especially hired for this purpose. This method allows companies to utilize their own resources and that of the third party. This method helps in reducing developmental costs and avoiding costly mistakes such as missed deadlines and project reworks.

Data warehousing design challenges

By utilizing Six Sigma concepts and methodologies, IT companies have been able to understand the exact design requirements of DW based on inputs provided by the client. By using Six Sigma tools and techniques, inputs are quantified to provide a specific target to software programmers who are working on the DW design. Based on the targets or objectives, software programmers fork out different DW designs and test each one of them in terms of ETL, which refers to extraction, transformation and loading of data. ETL is the main process in DW and if proper design is not developed, it could lead to increased ETL related costs.

ETL also has a direct affect on the end user, making it necessary to employ Six Sigma concepts for developing a design that suits the requirements of the end-user. For ensuring that a newly developed design will cater to the requirements of the end user, the developers put each design through Six Sigma simulations. Simulations create all the problems that are common to DW for testing the efficacy of a DW design. After conducting such simulations, data is gathered and analyzed using Six Sigma statistical tools and techniques.

The DW design that manages to have the least number of problems during the simulations is selected and put through more extensive Six Sigma simulations. After making the necessary changes, the DW design is ready to be implemented at the client site. Changes if any, are also made at the client site to improve the overall efficiency of the DW design. The chances of any major changes at this stage are very rare because the design has been thoroughly tested through Six Sigma simulations.

Using Six Sigma, IT companies have been able to offer multiple benefits to their clients such as reduced developmental costs, more efficient DW systems and components, and easier implementations. By utilizing Six Sigma in DW, IT companies have enabled their clients to concentrate more on their core objectives rather than waste precious resources on designing, developing, and implementing DW systems.
